SOUFFLE WITH SAUERKRAUT

        This is a wonderful recipe, you can make it if you want to empress someone or if you want to make your family happy. Is a very very tasty recipe that can be served as a main dish. I really recommend it to you although is a little bit hard to make. But if you choose to try it, you will not regret it. I don't know the origins of this recipe but I am glad that it was invented, it is suited for every meal or event in your family. I recommend you to serve it with white wine. And if you want to make it more special you can make some polenta ( cornbread )  for it.

-Carbohydrates: 5
-Fibers: 1.5  
Ingredients:

~potato- 1 kg
~cheese- 50 gr
~smoked pork- 500 gr
~milk- 1/4 l
~apples- 2
~almonds- 25 gr
~parsley- 1
~pepper
~juice from 2 oranges
~salt
~butter- 50 gr
~sauerkraut- 500 gr

Preparation method:

STEP 1:
In a saucepan we put the washed and chopped sauerkraut. We clean the apples, we take out the seeds, we slice them and put them also in the saucepan. We put them to
boil together with the orange juice for 25 - 30 minutes at low heat.

STEP 2:
In the meantime we put the potatoes to boil in salt water. We cut the meat into cubes shape.We grease a tray with butter and we add the sauerkraut and on top we add the meat.

STEP 3:
After the potatoes are ready we drain them, peel them and crush them. We mix them with the milk the scraped cheese and half of the butter quantity. We add salt and pepper after taste, we put the potatoes on top of the meat and we add the rest of the butter on top of the potatoes.

STEP 4:
We cover it with almonds and put it in the preheated oven and bake it for 40 - 45 minutes.

STEP 5:
Before serving put some sliced parley on top.
